There was a good turnout for the last gastronomic paddle of the summer. 12 boats on the water and extra four wheeled guests for dinner. The spring tide was running fast so we had to brake hard to arrive not too early. Fortunately it was a warm clear evening. The paddle back was made easy by a nearly full moon and a slight mist which emphasised the relative distance of points on the river bank.
That’s about it for this year on the flat water. Some of the team move to the raging water of the upper Dart, others will enjoy the calm of winter paddling on the lower Dart.
