The highest tide for many years and a gentle south east breeze pushed us in bright sunlight up the Dart to dinner at the Steam Packet Inn.
We had to stop for a while to keep to our schedule.
Soon the tower of St Mary’s Church, Totnes appeared, and a seal enjoying the high tide.
And then we arrived at the quay of the Steam Packet Inn.
The tide peaked at 20:30, driving the diners from the terrace.
This was a 5 metre tide at Dartmouth, 3.7 metres at Totnes
