A brisk north west wind blew us swiftly past Dartmouth castle. We took a leisurely pause in castle cove, sheltered from the wind and enjoying the just discernible warmth of the midday sun.
There is a building boom on the waterside, though sparse evidence of human occupation. This exotic mix of styles and materials is the latest addition to the west bank.
